A Toast to You, Our Beloved Guests

They say the secret ingredient in any great restaurant is what the people say after the plates are cleared and the wine is gone. At Stoney Knob Café, we believe the true magic happens when first-time diners turn into lifelong devotees, drawn back by our ever-evolving symphony of Cuisine from Near and Far.

What makes our hearts sing? It’s the smiles, the hugs, the familiar faces returning time and again, chasing that unforgettable flavor, that warm welcome, that little spark of something extraordinary.

We are endlessly grateful, humbled, and utterly charmed by all who pass through our doors—whether you came for the falafel or stayed for the filet, whether you fell in love with the Red Room or just came for the 007 Tiramisu.

Thank you for being part of our wild and wonderful story.

Now, don’t just take our word for it—pour yourself a glass and enjoy a few of the kind words and rave reviews from the hearts (and stomachs) of those who’ve dined with us.

“Fabulous! I love everything about Stoney Knob—the atmosphere, wait staff and eclectic menu. Where else can you choose between moussaka, paella, filet mignon, and Asiago grits? I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a dining experience this much.”

“Thank you so much for accommodating our family at Stoney Knob Café on Mother's Day. We had the most wonderful time. The food, the atmosphere, the service were all perfect. We look forward to coming back again!”

“You know Stoney Knob Café is going to be good the moment you walk in. Things are hopping but someone always stops to greet and seat you. These people are pros. Whoever's doing the cooking is putting his own spin on everything, and doing a great job of it.”

“Amazingness! I have come to Asheville four times this year and have eaten at Stony Knob each time. From the lamb tacos to the steak wedge salad, there is not an entrée that misses the mark of YUM! The beet stack appetizer and calamari are fantastic. Deserts are big and delicious. It's Ashville's most fabulous dining experience.”

“Sunday brunch was sublime, and our waitress was super attentive. The menu truly offers something for everyone. I love that there are gyros next to sweet potato pancakes; they're both so delicious!”

“Stoney Knob Café is the kind of place you'd expect to see featured on The Food Network.”

“The feel of this place is great–color and whimsy everywhere you look.”

“The food is amazing! Our party of eight had it all: appetizers (fried green tomatoes, duck spring rolls), entrees (wild mushroom ravioli, Thai tilapia, eggplant and polenta, tuna with fried spinach, filet mignon), and dessert (deep-dish key lime pie, chocolate peanut butter pie, chocolate mousse and toffee-ice cream cake). Every dish was delicious, with each having a special twist. (The wild mushroom ravioli filling, melts-in-your-mouth-like-cotton-candy fried spinach, and Asiago cheese grits were culinary near-epiphanies.) And I haven't even mentioned the Greek and Spanish menu items.”

“If possible, make a reservation. The locals keep this treasure of an eatery packed (for good reason), so you may have to wait otherwise. But it is oh so worth the wait.”

“There was one negative thing: choosing only one entree. Luckily, we had a large party so we all got something different and shared. None of us could stop eating. We ordered dessert because we didn't want the meal to end!”

“Stoney Knob has it all: Casual atmosphere, lots of local-esque people, friendly staff and diverse culinary choices. Want paella? They do it. Wild boar ragout? Sure! Seared Tokyo tuna? Of course! Greek specialties? Bring it! I love the fusion!”

“The feel of this place is great—color and whimsy everywhere you look.”

“The ambiance of a diner with the eclectic decor of a Manhattan lounge. And the food and service are great. What more could you ask for?”

“Funky urban chic north of Asheville.”
